About Us

Over the past fifteen years, what started out as occasionally staging for a few local builders out of our retail store, Custom Home Furniture Galleries. We have grown tremendously into staging for numerous builders, realtors and sellers. Due to the increasing demand in the Southeastern North Carolina area, we launched Custom Home Staging and Design. If you’re searching for someone to stage your home, whether it’s a new home or a resale, our objective is to help you sell your property as quickly as possible.

At Custom Home Staging and Design, our passion is property enhancement! For this reason, we work directly with our clients to ensure that we reach their demographic. With so many years of experience, we’ve seen firsthand how home staging creates the “wow” factor that makes your property stand out, and helps buyers mentally move in.

Our goal and the purpose of home staging is to depersonalize the home to appeal to the maximum number of buyers, whether it is a vacant or occupied listing. In order to achieve this, our services include a one hour consultation, decluttering and organizing, rearranging the seller’s furniture, and home staging for realtors, builders and sellers. We even offer furniture for rent per-item for those partially furnished properties, for area events and for television and movie film sets.

Just as our services exceed other home staging companies, our community involvement does also. We are members of the local Home Builders Association, the Wilmington Regional Association of Realtors and Habitat for Humanity, investing back into the community and the people that we care about.

We hope to have the privilege of decluttering, rearranging or staging your next property for sale, and we are certain that you’ll wonder why you didn’t call us sooner.

After all, a staged home is a sold home.

General Manager

With a creative passion as a child, the Interior Design world was introduced to me in high school, and there was no looking back.  I began taking Interior Design classes at the age of 16, along with being an active member in school and community performance art, orchestra and band organizations. From there I polished my design skills in college, graduating from East Carolina University with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Interior Design, and a minor in Business Management. The opportunity to spend my college career working under some of Greenville North Carolina’s finest designers, afforded me daily insight on good business practices, as well as hands on knowledge, at a young age.

That experience allowed me to enter the work force with confidence and test the waters in Office Systems/Commercial Design, before making Wilmington my home and joining the Custom Home Team. After years of working in their Furniture Galleries, I transitioned to running day to day operations at Staging and Designs. I look forward to working with new clients daily, and I will never turn down a challenge!

Lead Designer, Resale

Originally from Troutman NC, I moved to Wilmington fall of 2015. In the spring of 2018 I graduated from Cape Fear Community College with an Applied Science Degree in Interior Design. I’ve been a part of the Custom Home Staging and Design team since my final semester of college. I’ve harbored a love for art and design for as long as I can remember. Seeing the beauty in the forgotten or overlooked is where I thrive, so it seems fitting that I would describe my style as a melting pot, a little bit of everything. I tend to gravitate towards wicker/rattan, soft blues/pinks, and textured neutrals.

“Why Interior Design?” It’s such a simple answer for me; because it embodies home. The words home and haven coexist in my mind and carry such a heavy weight in why I chose this career path. Home should be the place we feel safest, the place we feel our most authentic selves. It’s where families bend and grow through all the precious and fleeting phases of life together. Being a small part of that process, helping a client see the potential of a home, is rewarding beyond measure. This isn’t just a job for me; it’s a passion and a love that grows with each and every new experience and challenge.

Lead Designer, New Construction

I spent a majority of my career in sales and marketing for large corporations upon my graduation from Temple University but I always knew something was missing. I decided to start a lifestyle blog in 2016 as a way to help feed my creative side and it has truly been a life changing experience. I was able to cultivate my love of home decor and spent hours researching all that I could on interior design. After a few years of helping family, friends and blog readers pick out the perfect curtain panels, wall colors or rugs for their homes I began creating digital e-design packages and inspiration boards. While my path to interior design isn’t exactly conventional I know it’s exactly where I’m meant to be and I am thrilled to be a part of the Custom Home Staging & Design team.

While I am not lusting over beautiful furniture pieces I can be found spending time with my husband, toddler and two doodle dogs. We moved to the area in the spring of 2018 and we instantly fell in love with coastal NC and all it has to offer.

I was born and raised in Massachusetts. Growing up I always expressed an interest in one day becoming an interior designer. Specifically, staging homes. It’s a passion that consumed my upbringing. I spent years working in the hospitality field, but always knew there was so much more I aspired to be. In 2015, I married my husband, who currently serves in the Marine Corps. When we moved to Quantico Virginia, becoming a new mom was the perfect incentive I needed to start fresh and finally turn my dreams into a reality. In 2017, I started working towards an Applied Science Degree in Interior Design, at Northern Virginia community college. From that moment on there was no looking back, I knew that it was exactly what I was meant to be doing all along! After moving to North Carolina, in 2018, I was finally able to finish my degree at Cape Fear Community College, graduating with highest honors. I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to land a job I had once only imagined, fresh out of college.

I truly believe that everyone should be able to, “Do what you love, and love what you do. So you never have to work a day in your life.” So I am ecstatic to start this new chapter with Custom Home Staging and Design, surrounded by a team that inspires me daily, and a company that will provide me with the knowledge and guidance I need to be successful.

Ultimately, I’m striving to become a role model for my four year old daughter, leading by example. Proving that hard work really does pay off, and giving up is never an option!

Design Assistant

Ever since I was little I knew I wanted to work in a creative field. My grandma taught me to sew when I was 5 years old and I have loved to be creative ever since. Although I love to sew and paint, I’ve always gravitated towards interior design. I studied at Cape Fear Community College (CFCC) and received my Associate’s Degree in Arts. After achieving my goals at CFCC, I moved to Spain with my husband. We were lucky enough to live there for a year and travel around Europe. While traveling, I was inspired by the amazing architecture and flea markets. It fueled my passion even more. I continued my studies at the New York Institute of Art and Design and gained so much more industry knowledge. Once I received my diploma, I felt it was time to jump into this field! Along with interior design, I am also very interested in real estate. My dad was involved in real estate and taught me a lot about it. Staging homes is the perfect mix for me. It can be a challenge at times but that’s what makes it fun — the puzzle!

I am excited for the opportunity to work with Custom Home Staging & Design team and serve our clients. I come to work every day to do something that I love and that feeds my creative side. I’m one lucky girl!

Design Assistant

After years of helping my husband run our small business I was ready for a change. I grew up around a family of artists so painting  has always been a form of expression for me.   Custom Home Staging allows my passion for design and visual creativity to come through and I love helping potential home buyers see the potential in their future homes.   In my spare time you can find me hanging out with my 2 sons, husband and our 2 dogs.  A fun fact about me is that I travel every year to Colorado with my cousin to hike various mountain summits.
