About Us

Over the past fifteen years, what started out as occasionally staging for a few local builders out of our retail store, Custom Home Furniture Galleries. We have grown tremendously into staging for numerous builders, realtors and sellers. Due to the increasing demand in the Southeastern North Carolina area, we launched Custom Home Staging and Design. If you’re searching for someone to stage your home, whether it’s a new home or a resale, our objective is to help you sell your property as quickly as possible.

At Custom Home Staging and Design, our passion is property enhancement! For this reason, we work directly with our clients to ensure that we reach their demographic. With so many years of experience, we’ve seen firsthand how home staging creates the “wow” factor that makes your property stand out, and helps buyers mentally move in.

Our goal and the purpose of home staging is to depersonalize the home to appeal to the maximum number of buyers, whether it is a vacant or occupied listing. In order to achieve this, our services include a one hour consultation, decluttering and organizing, rearranging the seller’s furniture, and home staging for realtors, builders and sellers. We even offer furniture for rent per-item for those partially furnished properties, for area events and for television and movie film sets.

Just as our services exceed other home staging companies, our community involvement does also. We are members of the local Home Builders Association, the Wilmington Regional Association of Realtors and Habitat for Humanity, investing back into the community and the people that we care about.

We hope to have the privilege of decluttering, rearranging or staging your next property for sale, and we are certain that you’ll wonder why you didn’t call us sooner.

After all, a staged home is a sold home.

Director of Operations

With a creative passion as a child, the Interior Design world was introduced to me in high school, and there was no looking back.  I began taking Interior Design classes at the age of 16, along with being an active member in school and community performance art, orchestra and band organizations. From there I polished my design skills in college, graduating from East Carolina University with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Interior Design, and a minor in Business Management. The opportunity to spend my college career working under some of Greenville North Carolina’s finest designers, afforded me daily insight on good business practices, as well as hands on knowledge, at a young age.

That experience allowed me to enter the work force with confidence and test the waters in Office Systems/Commercial Design, before making Wilmington my home and joining the Custom Home Team. After years of working in their Furniture Galleries, I transitioned to running day to day operations at Staging and Designs. I look forward to working with new clients daily, and I will never turn down a challenge!

Lead Designer

I have always been drawn to beautiful spaces and for many years, dreamt of turning my passion for design into a career. With the encouragement of family and friends, I decided in 2015 it was time to go back to school and throw myself full force into a field I truly loved. Shortly after completing the Residential Design program through The Art Institute of Pittsburgh, I was fortunate enough to have found Custom Home Staging & Design; a place where I could I could finally live out my dreams while helping clients and builders bring out the most in their homes.

Custom Home has quickly become my new family and I can truly say, I love what I do and who I do it with! When I’m not buried neck deep in throw pillows and sea glass, I find my joy in spending time with my 1 year old daughter, husband and dog! Family is what inspires me, both at work and at home!

My creativity flourishes when a room needs to be rearranged, a shelf needs to be styled, or a table needs to be set. I learned to appreciate the art of design in a home at a young age, as my mom has an incredible eye for beautiful spaces.

I graduated from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington and love calling the Carolinas my home. I worked in college women’s ministry after graduation before pursuing a career in design. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my husband Todd, decorating our first home, being out on the water, exercise, and travel.

I believe a home is a place to serve others and is full of life, growth, and love. My hope is that when potential buyers walk into a designed space, they will be able to envision just that and will feel right at home. I hope to help clients and builders see the beauty and best in their homes!

I moved to Wilmington from Troutman, North Carolina in 2015. I enrolled at Cape Fear Community College, starting out as an Art Transfer student. Social media played a large impact in my initial interest in turning my love for design into a career. When I learned that the school I was already attending had a design program, I decided to declare a new major. It was here that I truly felt I was learning something purposeful and I enjoyed learning about! During my last semester of college I interned with Custom Home Staging & Design. After graduating with an Associate’s in Applied Science Degree, with a focus in Interior Design, I was given the opportunity to join the design team!

Living in a coastal town, it seems fitting that I would describe my style as, “fresh and organic.”  I tend to gravitate towards warm whites, soft blues, and natural woods. Custom Home Staging & Design, as cliché as it sounds, has been the perfect fit for me! I can honestly say that work never really feels like “work.” It’s a passion and a love that only grows with each and every experience and challenge.
